We are proud to announce Brazil’s Vivian “Vivi” Saliba as the latest addition to the 888poker team!

This past summer, the 24-year-old Saliba became the youngest female to enter the World Series of Poker Main Event, which she jumped into after notching a career-best $47,923 in Event #54: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. It was just her second time at the WSOP, and her first playing the Main Event. She finished in 421st place for $27,743, and thanks to some airtime on Poker Go, her popularity in Brazil exploded.

As the newest 888poker Ambassador, Saliba joins countryman Bruno Foster as part of our Brazilian contingent. She first learned poker at the age of 17 while playing alongside her dad in Brazilian card club.

“I fell in love with the social aspects of poker and I actually cashed in my first tournament,” Sailba previously told Poker Listings. “I didn't know what I was doing at all but I made so many friends and started going every weekend with my dad.”

Five years later, Saliba would turn pro. She is fresh off winning the 888Live London Ladies Event, and officially joins the 888poker team while at King’s Casino in Rozvadov competing in the World Series of Poker Europe. In fact, she’s already has some success there finishing 30th in Event #2: €550 Pot-Limit Omaha for €1,341/$1,580 and 46th in Event #3: €1,100 NLHE Super Turbo Bounty for €1,104/$1,298.

Other highlights on her poker résumé, which currently stands at $173,360 in live tournament winnings, include $23,789 for finishing third in the 2017 PokerStars Championship Barcelona Event #38: €1,100 PLO, $2,656 for placing 11th in the 205 BSOP Millions Sao Paulo Main Event, and $10,375 for taking third in the 2017 WSOP International Circuit Sao Paulo Event #6: R$2,500 PLO.

An up-and-coming star of the game, Saliba is the perfect match to our wonderful group of worldwide ambassadors that include Dominik Nitsche, just to name a few.

“Online poker is even bigger than the live games in Brazil,” Saliba also told Poker Listings. “And we also have some really good tournaments like the BSOP. The structure is good and the fields are big so that's kind of the live scene in Brazil.”

Saliba represents everything we believe in here at 888poker, which includes having fun at the tables, talking to her fellow players, and always wearing a smile while enjoying the game we all love. We at 888poker believe the poker world will be seeing a lot more of Saliba, and we are extremely excited to have her on our team.
